A video clip from 2006, Jack and Jennifer
are working together on a story. Fans have always
said that their story was similar to the 30s
classic movie with Rosalind Russell and Cary
Grant, His Girl Friday, and in
this clip Jack and Jennifer has a His
Girl Friday fantasy. The clip not under
TJDS Videos, but is in under the
Videos Index and is listed under DAYS

Big September Rebooting of the show
Matthew
and Christina in Sacramento in August
Matthew and Christina will be part of
Sacramento's acclaimed Music Circus' 2011 season, appearing
in I Do! I Do! August 16-21.
The musical only consists of Agnes and Michael Snow,
and there is only one set, in particular a large beed.
It spans fifty years of their marriage from 1895 to
1945.
The following is the write-up email I received from
the California Musical Theatre announcing the
Music Circus' 2011 season:"The cast includes
Tony-winner Gary Beach, 'Days of Our Lives'
veteran Matthew Ashford, 'Phantom favorite
David Gaines and Broadway veteran Vicki Lewis."
Pretty cool that Matthew was listed as one of the big
draws. Under the description for I Do! I Do!it says:
"'I DO! I DO!' stars real-life couple
Matthew Ashford and Christina Saffran Ashford as Michael
and Agnes. Audiences may recognize Ashford as Jack Devereaux
[sic] on NBC's 'Days of Our Lives.' Saffran
Ashford's may be recognizable from the variety of vocals
she has recorded for movies, including 'Aladdin,'
“Mulan,” and 'Enchanted.'
Both are familiar to Sacramento audiences, as Mr. Ashford
played Thomas Jefferson in '1776' and
Sky Masterson in 'Guys and Dolls.' Ms.
Saffran Ashford performed in productions of 'Jesus
Christ Superstar,' “Singin' in the
Rain,' 'Grease' and 'White
Christmas.' The production is directed by Emmy-nominated
director Will Mackenzie.

Interview by
Soap Opera Network.
[Updated
August 5th]
First Airdate 9/23 ???
Soap Opera Network has an
video interview of the shows two new head writers,
Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas, the seem
excited about the show, and returning it to its roots,
of romance, and seem to want actor input. The one
interesting tid-bit was that the 9/23 episode is to
be a retrospect type episode, but Marlene also stated
that on that day a male character would be returning,
considering it seems that Drake is returning with
Dee and there is the mystery surrounding Jack's past
year, it looks as though he will first be seen 9/23
and not 9/26 with everyone else and the new episodes.
To view the video interview, click
here.
During the show they are now showing a few second
bytes of classic scenes, so far the 8/2 and 8/4 episode
have dealt with Jack and Jennifer. 8/2 is a scene
from their wedding, with dialoge; 8/4 is a montage
of the Santa proposal, their wedding, post-wedding,
and Firetruck rescue. 8/1 and 8/3 dealt with Drake/John
and Dee/Marlena; 8/5 was of Patrick Muldoon/Austin
Reed and Christie Clarke Carrie Brady Reed. More are
promised each day up until the new scripts. They are
referred to as mini-episodes and seem to be mini-stories
which continue. I was trying to put the on-line but
my EyeTV is not working so I cannot convert them on
my iMac
July 27th various actors on the set had a game on
Tweeter, they would put up a piece of a puzzle
photo featuring the returnees, Kate Mansi (Abby
Deveraux) said the actor was a relative In
the end, it was a photo Matt and Christie Clarke (Carrie
Brady Reed) in front of photos of past characters
to see the reconstructed photo, click on photo to
see it in a larger size.
Numerous Tweets on Tweeter have confirmed
that Matthew was back taping last week, when the cast
returned from the summer two week vacation, and was
scheduled to be back around September 26th when the
new writers and producer's material begins and when
a promised big event occurs, when the show "rewinds"
"reboots" back to the former glory days
of romance and good story telling. One Tweet
warned fans to pay attention because Jack will be
back on screen before the 9/26 -- I will put down
any information as to when we see the "dashing
Mr. Deveraux," as he was referred to in the Tweet.
In one photo Matthew has a full beard -- a link is
below. Speculation is that this proves Jack
was captured this past year. However, in a photo this
week from The Bay -- which also is back
taping -- the beard is gone. The Net speculation is
that this means Jack is back in Salem and has cleaned
up. Today (7/22) Wally Kurth Tweeted that he and Matthew
and Judi Evans were tapinga scene(s) together. Earlier
this week Missy returned to Tweeter with messages
that she has some emotional scenes coming up. Though
some Tweets are making it seem the walkabout/ashram
scenario might be true. Again Net speculation is that
this is just a smoke screen and that there is more
to Jack's missing year, and that Jack really is innocent.

from Molly Burnett showing Matthew with a beard, Molly
is also in the photo along with Deidre and Drake.

Matthew is back taping for the new

confessional for his Steve Jensen. Last year the Garretts

this taped this week, and last week Matthew returned
taping for DAYS, last week Matthew had
a full beard, but this week for this taping he was
clean shaven. Click on thumbnail to see

The
Bay News
Matthew
appeared in webisodes 14 and 15 as creepy, alleged
rapist of show matriarch Sara Garrett (Mary
Beth Evans) and is father to her son Brian
Nelson, Steve Jensen.
The Bay has garnered critical and fan
acclaim, and many are saying that it and the other
web soaps) could possibly be the savior of the soap
opera. It was nominated in 4 categories in
We Love Soaps' 2nd Annual Indie Soap Awards,
and won Fan Favorite Soap and Best Director
for Gregori Martin. It just Finnish its first season
and will be back later this year for Season 2. In
other exciting news, Jim Romanovich (Associated
Television International) -- who saved the Daytime
Emmys -- has acquired the websoap and plans to
sell it as a half-hour cable or syndicated program
to air in 2012
The webisodes plus "Confessions of the Garretts"
are aired and archived at thebaytheseries.com
